The Peace Run (”Fredsloppet”) is not just an ordinary race — it’s also a simple way to take a stand for peace, solidarity, and justice.
Run or walk for peace, solidarity, and justice

1985 to 2025: 40 years of action for peace
Since 1985, Fredsloppet has supported a range of political and social justice causes. The first slogan was ”No to Star Wars – For a Nuclear-Free Nordic Region.” Over the years, themes have focused on ending apartheid in South Africa, supporting the Sahrawi people in Western Sahara, and raising funds for war-torn Bosnia. Today, much of our support goes to Palestine, under the slogan ”Support Palestine – Boycott Israel!”
Over the years, the run has drawn up to 3,000 participants. Join us and be part of the movement for peace!
Do you want to join the movement and organize a Peace Run ("Fredslopp")?
We are witnessing a growing global movement for peace and solidarity, with new initiatives and major demonstrations emerging around the world. If you’re interested in organizing your own Peace Run (Fredslopp), don’t hesitate to reach out — we’d be happy to support you in getting started.
Our common platform, 2025

Choose dialogue over war
Militarism is on the rise in Sweden and around the world.
More money and resources are being invested in military build-up, while major cutbacks are being made in public welfare. Sweden’s NATO membership also increases the risk of the country being drawn into war.
Israel’s occupation of Palestine has escalated into a full-scale genocide in Gaza, while attacks on the West Bank and neighboring countries Lebanon and Syria continue.
Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine has now entered its third year. The Russian invasion is a violation of international law. However, the conflict cannot be resolved by the United States and other NATO countries supplying Ukraine with more weapons.
Israel’s occupation of Palestine and Russia’s war against Ukraine increase the risk of more countries being dragged into war — including the threat of nuclear conflict. This must not happen. Instead, the calls for a ceasefire must grow louder to open the way for negotiations.
The United States’ blockade of Cuba continues despite 187 out of 193 countries in the United Nations General Assembly voting for it to end — with only the U.S. and Israel voting against.
Another world is possilbe
The gap between people is growing in Swedish society, just as it is across the world. The pursuit of profit for the few is prioritized over the needs of people and the environment.
All over the world, we see policies leading to conflict over the planet’s resources and to imperialist wars. There is more than enough knowledge to prioritize the needs of people and the environment. We fight for a world based on solidarity between people, where we live in harmony with nature – instead of a society built on competition and imperialist dominance.
Instead of Swedish NATO membership under U.S. command, where our children and grandchildren risk being sacrificed in imperialist wars across the globe, what we need is an active, anti-imperialist peace movement
Join this year's Peace Run across Sweden for peace, non-alignment, and solidarity!
- Another world is possible and necessary.
- Yes to non-alignment and a nuclear-free Sweden – No to NATO.
- The occupation of Palestine must end – Boycott Israel.
- The invasion of Ukraine must end – Diplomacy instead of war in Ukraine.
- Follow the UN’s decisions – Lift the US blockade of Cuba.
The platform was adopted on February 22, 2025.
